|St. Charles County, Mo. has 5 school districts. The three in the western part of the county have experienced the most growth and have the newest schools, thus confirming the westward movement of the St. Louis area population. Orchard Farm is by far the smallest having lost many students as a result of the great flood of '93. No other school district was affected so dramatically. All the districts have much parent and community participation and cooperation. The rapid growth in the Francis Howell district has caused some financial concerns but the administration has met the challenge by creatively utilizing year-round schooling with good acceptance by the community. |
